Dr. Alissa Rexo, an experienced and passionate Veterinary Dermatologist, resides on her family horse farm with her family, dogs, cat, and horses. She is driven by a deep-seated dedication to optimal animal care. In her veterinary role, Alissa has seen a wide range of health products available for dogs and cats, often finding questionable medical efficacy. This was her primary motivation for developing Kalzyme with a group of Swedish biotech researchers.
Many of the products contain cheap synthetic fillers and strong bactericidal chemicals, chemicals that not only kill the bad bacteria but also the good ones. Contrary to what the products promise about quick healing, there is instead a risk that they can cause troublesome side effects. Based on these experiences, a strong desire grew within Alissa to be able to develop effective remedies based solely on natural ingredients. Together with Mats Clarsund, the dream was realized.
Mats Clarsund, a Swedish enzyme researcher with extensive experience in developing health products, focuses on leveraging the unique properties of enzymes, such as their high specificity and efficiency. Like Alissa, Mats has long had a great interest in animals and a strong ambition to find new effective products for our pets. A shared vision emerged: to use enzyme technology to develop products that are more effective and safer than existing products on the market. Thus, Kalzyme was created.
Kalzyme is part of ZymIQ, a research company in Sweden. Within ZymIQ, health products based on enzymes are developed. Kalzyme currently offers both dental and skincare products for dogs and cats, all of which are clinically tested and proven effective. When using a Kalzyme product, you can be assured that only high-quality ingredients have been used
